Engaging with Mana Whenua to provide strategic and project planning support, encourage collaborative practice and identify capacity development. Supporting Mana Whenua to identify priorities for co-design, planning and implementation over short, medium and long term and develop these into a staged plan. Working with Mana Whenua to prepare project plans and budgets for priority projects for implementation in the coming year, including but not limited to:
- Creating more visibility of Mana Whenua e.g. via images, acknowledgement and information in the town/signage/schools
- Identification of key sites
- Gaining appropriate access and protection of Urupa
